TAGS Team and Game Scheduler
TAGS is a Microsoft Windows based scheduling program that allows the user to create round robin schedules for sports leagues. It runs on Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP. TAGS allows you to define an unlimited number of leagues, districts, clubs, divisions, teams, and fields. The only limitation is that a division can not exceed 20 teams. |
How Does TAGS Work?
Play dates are assigned to leagues and divisions. Teams are assigned a division and a home field and time. Teams are then organized into matching sequences within their divisions and the schedules are generated. If all the divisions are the same size, you can build a schedule with an unlimited number of teams with complete field use and without conflicts. |
TAGS uses a combination of scheduling algorithms and templates. Numerous individuals spanning several generations developed the templates. The origins of the templates are from the birth place of soccer and league play beginning over a 100 years ago. You are likely familiar with and will recognize these templates if you have been scheduling manually. |
What makes TAGS so useful is that it can create fully linked web pages that are standalone and are so very easy to link into your own site. Fields and game time can be added later without causing conflicts. Any changes to the schedules are easily accommodated and quickly translated into new web pages. Of course you still have paper reports, but the web pages can be printed and by using cut and paste the data is easily imported into Excel. |
What Types of Machines Will It Work On?
TAGS works on most 32-bit Windows-based operating systems including Windows 95, 98, NT4.0, 2000 and XP. The preferred computer is a 300mhz or above with 32MB of RAM or better. If you purchased your machine in 1999 or later it is likely perfectly adequate. |
How Can I Try the Program?
TAGS is shareware. Download a fully-functional 25 day trial version of the program and try it. If you find the software useful, you can purchase and thereby register your copy at Order TAGS . |
